Knight Online comes alive with Confederacy and Siege War@ 2004/07/16
For the uninitiated, Knights are made not born and therefore in the exciting world of Knight Online, gamers will be introduced to the game as squires – knights in training if you will. As the gamer progresses, he/she (yes there are just as many capable and enthusiastic female gamers as there are the other gender) will then will have the chance to be upgraded into a Knight status. The gamer that has attained knighthood is recognisable through the character’s avatar, which will be donning a cape. And with the advent of advanced technology, the cape is customisable to allow placement of symbols and Knight confederacy icons on its back.
The Knight Confederacy was initiated with the key reason that community building is crucial in every online world as proven in every successful online venture. With the right community building thrust, knights whom will be forming their own Confederacy is different from the usual clans, as the former is more official and recognised in the online world. The Confederacy will see Knights carrying their logo proudly as they march off into yet another initiative-drawn event in Knight Online called the Castle Siege War.
The first part of the Knight Online WAR Series, the Castle Siege War is sparked off from the need to create consistent power struggles between clans, confederacies and players in the dynamic world of Knight Online. With the WAR Series, the players will immerse themselves in an everlasting conquest over each other. In this first part, players are introduced to a new location in the game known as Usurper’s Castle. The player who captures the centerpiece of this castle has the power over taxes, it’s people and several other elements.
However, as they say power corrupts and therefore, there will be continuing struggles as time goes by. Other players will continue to vie for Usurper’s castle and it is the lord of the house who will have to defend against other onslaughts. From this first part, the saga will continue into other dramatic influences – but we shall not divulge the information as yet.
The Knight Online scene is assured to capture the imagination of not only lone players but a massive group as well where the consistent introduction of brighter, fresher elements of the game is added from time to time. Items and weapons of artifacts are also strewn all over via quests or great events such as the Castle Siege event.
Players are introduced to an entirely new arsenal of weaponry in Castle Siege such as the mandatory catapults to break down walls and arches lining the walls of the huge architecture. Other elements include the use of Ladder Trucks (ala Lord of the Rings) and Ram to bring down the heavy wooden doors of Usurper’s stronghold. Some of these arsenals can only be operated by the chief Knight in a Confederacy and at times requires more than 1 player’s strength and action. This ultimately creates a sense of teamplay and continues the key vision to be a gaming environment that brings together the gamers, players and communities from all over.
The world of Knight Online and its historical moment that is in place will be built on the platform of e-games’ plan of success – which is to create an environment that will be realistic, fun and ultimately involving for the gamer…and this in turn ties back to its promise of becoming A World of Dreams
