Intel Core i5 will have a lower QPI multiplier

@ 2009/04/24
Intel’s 5 Series mobos will be switched to single-chip design, and the PCIE 2.0 controller will integrated into the CPU, so the NB will be removed. Even this non IGP CPUs they use QPI bus inside the CPU to connect the PCIE interface, and it also will used the DMI bus connect to the ICH.

As we know, QPI will limited the OC performance of CPU, for example, the Core i7 965, its QPI data rate is 6.4GT/s, 24x multiplier and 133MHz of BCLK, if you want to reach the 8GT/s, its largest BCLK can only be 166MHz at 24x.
