Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 X2 2GB

At $284.99 after MIR, the Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 X2 2GB is not that great value in the grand scheme of things. In two of the six games in our evaluation, it fell behind the GeForce GTX 275, which is cheaper. In another two of our games, it broke even with the 1GB model. In one of the games, the 2GB HD 4850 X2 outperformed all of its competition, and in the last game, it outperformed the GTX 275, but performed on par with the 1GB HD 4850 X2.

The value of this video card ultimately boils down to what games you want to play with it. If your favorite game can benefit from CrossFireX and 1GB of video memory, the Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 X2 2GB may be a good option. If not, then the GeForce GTX 275 or the recently released Radeon HD 4890 is probably a better option.
