AMD Phenom II 955 3.2Ghz and Athlon X2 7850 BE 2.8Ghz Launch Next Week

@ 2009/04/15
AMD plans to launch the Phenom II X4 955 that will work at 3.2GHz and this will be the fastest Phenom CPU to launch to date. It gets better, it is socket AM3 and it supports DDR2 and DDR3 motherboards. The joy for all overclockers this one is again one Black Edition CPU and it looks that USA will pay about $300 for the CPU while Europeans should cash some €250 for a new one in etail.

AMD is planning to launch its latest addition to Athlon X2 family, and the new CPU, will be an unlocked Black Edition and will work at 2.8GHz. This is likely to be the fastest Kuma, 65nm K10 derived dual core and after this one, AMD moves to Regor 45nm K10.5 based dual-core.The new CPU is Back Edition and AMD obviously wants to capture as much of this overclocking market as it possibly can, as people with dual-core budgets do like to push unlocked CPUs a bit more.
