Nvidia intros hardware debugger for GeForce GPUs

@ 2009/04/09
Nvidia today introduced a new version of its CUDA 2.2 beta software development kit, which now includes a hardware debugger and support for Microsoft’s Windows Server 2003/2008.

Nvidia said that the debugger is available as a beta version for Linux developers and offers both the interface of the open-source GDB debugger and the ability to debug kernels as they execute on the GPU. The CUDA-integrated version has all the features known from GDB as well as some CUDA-specific extensions. The CUDA kit supports C, OpenCL, DirectX Compute, Fortran and "other" languages and APIs, Nvidia said. Also new is support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 for the Tesla C1060 and S1070 cards.
