Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 Ultimate 512MB video card review

Sapphire's "Ultimate" range of graphics boards have become well-known over past generations for bringing silent, passively cooled graphics boards to the masses, and today we take a look at their latest offering along those lines, which brings the "Ultimate" tag to the Radeon HD 4670.

"If you were expecting a vast expanse of metal taking up numerous slots on the front of the Radeon HD 4670 Ultimate's PCB, then you'll be in for a pleasant surprise, with a relatively thin, small heatsink strapped to the card's GPU while also somewhat covering its memory modules.

The real "magic" of the Radeon HD 4670 Ultimate can be found at the rear of the board, with that modest heatsink at the front attached via a couple of heatpipes to a chunkier affair at the rear, which is used to dissipate any heat collected and removed from the GPU (heat rises of course, making it logical for this to be found at the top of the card as it sits in a normal system)."
