Dell triples Windows XP downgrade tax to $150
@ 2008/12/09Windows XP is not going away anytime soon, but it will get more expensive. Dell has been supporting a Windows XP downgrade option since the introduction of Windows Vista and extended this option twice beyond a previously given deadline for the Latitude, Optiplex, Vostro and Precision series as well as certain Inspiron and XPS systems. Consumers who choose this option will now have to pay up to $150 to get XP on their new computers.
Doesn't matter if they don't surchage across their entire product catalog, is still wrong and will catch those people that don't know anything about computers or OS pricing.
