Core i7 listed in Europe, cheapest at €378

Intel's Core i7 has just been listed in Europe and the lowest price currently stands at €378.

We're talking about the Core i7 920, a 2.67GHz 45nm quad-core Bloomfield. It has a 130W TDP, Tripple Channel DDR3-1333 memory controller, HyperThreading, and a bunch of various abbreviations.

The new CPUs should debut on November 17th, and be immediately available. You can probably expect the first reviews early next week.

Great news for the overclockers, they can stay with their E8600 for a while longer

Why do y'all expect the prices of top-end hardware NOT to be exorbitant considering it is being sold before the release date?

Already droppped 100 euro and it's not for sale yet, going good

My P3 500Mhz system cost more than a low end i7 will....

It's just unfortunate everyone was told the launch price before the crash and now the 'real' price has gone sky-high.
Reading the forums now, all the guys that were definitely going to buy i7 on launch day have now decided to wait it out with what they already have or just buy C2.

Even nehalemnews.com has been subdued recently.

Maybe all the hype will pick up again from tomorrow? We'll know one way or another whether it's worth the high cost for the majority of users or not....
