Core i7 easy to overclock

@ 2008/10/28
The first rumors about Intel's Nehalem architecture and its overclocking potential was anything but positive. There was even talk of no overclocking what-so-ever. We of course dismissed this as exaggerated and now that we've even overclocked Intel's Core i7 in the extremest form we dare to say that there was no real substance to these rumors. You can overclock the processors with ease and even if we can't divulge any concrete results there is little to complain about at this time.

Another proof of the potential of Core i7 and it overclocking ability has surfaced. Intel has namely displayed the latest version of Desktop Control Center that enables overclocking of Core i7 from Windows, with Intel's own software. DCC also comes with a lot of monitoring features for voltages, temperatures and fan speeds.
