ASUS EAH4870X2 TOP video card review
@ 2008/09/15As per the norm for ASUS' 'TOP' labelled graphics boards this particular offering ships with both GPU cores and memory factory overclocked. Thus, the EAH4870X2 TOP sports a 790MHz core clock speed on each GPU (a 40MHz increase) and a 915MHz memory clock (15MHz higher than a reference board, which is a 60MHz effective boost given the use of GDDR5 memory modules).
Aside from those clock speed increases, ASUS have stuck with AMD's reference cooler design, which is a dual-slot solution very much like that seen on their last dual-GPU part, the Radeon HD 3870 X2. If the board's length is of concern to you, then it's worth noting that the PCB is 10.5 inches long, the same as a GeForce GTX 280.
