Intel Havendale Integrated Graphics Details Leaked

@ 2008/08/08
It looks like Intel is working on two different IGP solutions for its Havendale processors, as there will be 93W and 75W TDP versions of this upcoming CPU. It makes sense, as Intel currently has several different IGP chipsets and we don't see why the company wouldn't do the same when it moves the GPU from the chipset to the CPU.

One interesting thing that we had missed is that the Lynnfield and Havendale CPUs will communicate internally via a QPI interface, so the CPU cores will rely on QPI for communication with the memory controller, PCIe controller and in the case of the Havendale, the IGP. Hopefully, Intel will shed some more light on these CPUs during IDF in San Francisco later this month.
