The Relationship Between Overclocking and Cooling @ PCStats

The main factor in overclocking is the processor. If it is unwilling, it does not go anywhere no matter how you cool it or how much you spend on equipment.

The 2.4C used in this review is so rare; it would be like comparing Bill Gate's IQ with his wealth.

my P4 2.4C goes to 3.2-3.3 with 1.65v vcore on aircooling
watercooling didn't up the speed. only phase-change can get you another 200-300mhz I think

Air cooling 2.4C to 3.6Ghz at 1.6 Volt is rare. I have 4 2.4C none could go the speed. Unless, I'm the most unlucky guy.

why is this 2.4c so rare?

I thought (and may be miles off) that 4 gig on phase change, be it mach 1 or mach 2 is not uncommon and neither is 3.6 gig on air.

That's a nice overclock.
