@ 2008/08/01In the world of overclocking there are a few hardware companies that really stand out, DFI, Asus, Gigabyte, they all have product lines dedicated to the hardware enthusiast and even stronger fans dedicated to getting the most our of their systems. These users are a small subset of the entire hardware market share but for what they lack in numbers they make up in how vocal they can be and generally get what they want.
Foxconn can relate to this and we got to witness first hand how aggressive they can be to attain their goals. It all started at CES 2008 with a very impressive demonstration of the new X48 motherboard from Foxconn. The interesting thing about this demonstration was that hardly anybody knew about the X48 much less seeing it in action. After a very impressive display of overclocking, enhanced bios controls, and 4 in 1 motherboard cooling we walked away thinking that this was going to be the next best thing and they called it the BlackOps.
Fast forward to Computex 2008, at this point 6 months had past, and by now the BlackOps was out of beta testing and available for purchase and even without any formal announcements the enthusiast community was a buzz with BlackOps fever, they all wanted to see the latest overclocking technology from Foxconn and it was within reach.
