Sandisk delays optimised SSDs

Sandisk found this out this little-known fact the hard way. The SSD heavyweight was forced to delay deliveries of at least three new devices until 2009 because it did not “fully understand the limitations [of] the Vista environment.”

The new drives are expected to have capacities ranging between 128, 160 and 256 GB.

According to Sandisk Chairman and CEO Eli Harari, Windows Vista presents a unique challenge for solid state drive makers.
