AMD to launch Phenom FX in Q1 2009

There is a chance that 45nm Stars core codenamed Deneb FX might be AMD's chance to get back to the high end market. This CPU is scheduled for Q1 2009 and we heard before that Deneb 45nm quad core should be able to reach the speeds of at least 3GHz.

At that time Intel should be happily selling its Quad core Nehalem, the CPU that supports eight threads and might still end up faster than AMD’s FX offering, but at least AMD can get close to Intel’s performance crown.
