will look into this, comparo with stock Oblivion vs Tweaked
oh yes, Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 is a GPU killer too, at 1600x1200 max detail I get 18fps with 8800GTX

No, only the "Lanscape LOD Texture Replacement" mod for now but I remember having a chat with a Finnish guy who told me there were lots more tweaks to Oblivion. Never got to check it out though.

very nice link!

tried this one yet?

Quote:
Qarl's Texture Pack III (1.7 GB): Meshes and textures in Oblivion are now 4 times the resolution of the vanilla textures. Dungeons, architecture, rocks, landscapes, butterflies, snowflakes, and blood splatters are now much, much more photo realistic. A huge 1.7 GB download but well worth it. Beware if you have a lower end PC or only a mid-range graphics card, as this pack could cause severe slow-down and make the game nearly unplayable.

found any good Oblivion mods?
Comment from geoffrey @ 2008/04/20
Indeed, that is certainly cool, I was referring to the static objects/textures.

CryEngine does look better, just take a look at the lightening, water and dynamic weather cycle, also no in/outdoor, everything is the same, you can see that in the last zoom-out in the movie

CryEnige should look better. I'm not sure however, you have to test both at same time and see for yourself I guess. I've been playing the standard Oblivion, not a modded one (tried it once though).

does not look much better? as in: it looks worse?
Comment from geoffrey @ 2008/04/20
When using the different texture kits available on the net, Oblivion does not look that much worse then when running on the CryEngine.
