Quad SLI doesn’t work on XP !

@ 2008/03/27
If you are after Quad SLI with two 9800GX2 cards you can forget about playing under XP. Nvidia clearly said that at least for the time being Quad SLI driver works only under Vista.

Both Vista 32 and 64bit are included but so far the current Forceware 174.53 for XP doesn’t have support for Quad SLI.

it's a hint that OCTB signature is crap
Comment from Gamer @ 2008/03/29
Lol, let's make another thread about this, nothing to do with GX2
Comment from Massman @ 2008/03/29
Still don't have it? No luck for you

Btw, since when are you part of the OCX overclocking team?
Comment from Gamer @ 2008/03/29
Yep, same HDD
I did some tests, 5800 3D06 with a 630
Time to upgrade my cpu
Comment from Massman @ 2008/03/29
Time to start benching, Gamer

Do you have a XP setup with two X2's as well? I'm looking into the Ati drivers atm and was hoping you could run some tests.

Try Catalyst 8.3, these are the only drivers which currently support Quad CrossFire

Quad-CF in XP works, but Ati will never launch the drivers.

Comment from jmke @ 2008/03/28

Note: CrossFireX™ (Quad) is only supported under the Windows Vista operating system

Comment from Gamer @ 2008/03/28
What driver ?
Comment from Gamer @ 2008/03/28
ATi 3870X2 = 1035Gr.
Comment from jmke @ 2008/03/28
indeed, you haven't seen 9800GX2 yet, they weigh 1kg
Comment from Gamer @ 2008/03/28
That's why I would like to know what drivers

Cards arrived, they are massive, never seen such a heavy and large card....
Comment from jmke @ 2008/03/28
driver issues are not new for either NV or ATI, when it works Quad CF scales better on XP vs Vista according to benches found on the WWW!

3-way sli doesn't work on XP, why would quad-sli work in xp then?

(remember how the previous quad-sli drivers for xp sucked?)
Comment from Gamer @ 2008/03/27
With what driver ?
