@ 2008/03/25Nvidia has its entry-level Geforce 9 parts ready, but it has decided to postpone them. It simply has too many 8400 and 8500 cards out on the market.
Nvidia off loaded a lot of 8400GS and 8500GT cards to its partners and now cannot launch the Geforce 9500 and 9400, as the launch of the cheap Geforce 9 would instantly kill the sales of cheap Geforce 8 parts.
Some companies sell quite a few 8500GT cards with 1024MB of memory, but the majority have a problem getting rid of the cheap 8400 and 8500GT parts.
