AMD CEO Collected $7.4 Million in Compensation in 2007

Advanced Micro Devices Chief Executive and Chairman Hector Ruiz collected compensation valued at $7.4 million in 2007, down 54.3 percent from the year before, as the chip maker experienced its second difficult year in a row.

According to a proxy statement the company filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ruiz received $1.1 million in salary for the year. He received no performance-based bonus, compared with a performance bonus of $2.6 million the year before.
