BFGTech ES-800 800W Power Supply

The BFG ES-800 is a huge departure from BFG power supplies of the past in almost every way possible. Not only does the ES-800 feature excellent voltage regulation, it simply wipes the floor with most other power supplies when it comes to unique features that work as advertised. Among these features are the units "Frequency Conversion" which results in a unit that is exceptionally efficient at a huge range of loads starting as low as 25% which then progresses on through to 100% load. The units no 5/3.3v minimum load requirement allows the unit to be used as a 12v power supply all the way up to its rated 12v output of 65A. If that wasn't enough, to push the unit over the top the ES-800 has a custom made 138mm fan that can start at voltages as low as 3v which results in a 800w power supply that not only is extremely stout but also exceptionally quiet. However, in every life some rain must fall. The ES-800 has a small DC output quality hiccup at loads over 50% on the 3.3v and 5v rails. This is basically the only ding we can give the ES-800 and even then this “hiccup” is within ATX specification limits. We would be remiss if we did not fully recommend the ES-800 as it is an excellent and unique product.
