@ 2008/02/21
Intel is set to lower its 65 nm CPU prices in order to speed up the transition between the 65 nm and 45 nm CPUs, according to sources at motherboard makers. The Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Q6700 will see their prices drop from $266 and $530 to $224 and $266, respectively, on April 20.

Intel could lower more and still won't do much in 65nm Quad sales because Wolfdale speed and thermal loss are much better; besides Quad does not give much edge over dual core amongst 99% of users., IMO.
