MSI GeForce 9800 GX2 specs and picture leaked

@ 2008/02/20
The frequencies of soon to be released GeForce 9800 GX2 have been the subject of some recent rumors but a little piece of info coming from MSI turns everything around. According to a little web page that was taken down, the MSI N9800GX2-M2D1G is clocked higher than the 600/1500/2000 MHz (GPU/shaders/memory) already reported.

Yes, but my point is 1800MHz is the max rating for GDDR3? Or am I wrong on this?

If the memory is built to run at 1800MHz, and they are overclocking it to 2400MHz, then only those that can live with their card dieing prematurely should go for it. MSI doesn't have as good a warranty compared to many.

I think it is pretty clear RAM going bad is a leading cause of GPU's becoming useless.

yes, they overclocked the RAM, if it is possible why not?

2400MHz for GDDR3? I thought official GDDR3 RAM stopped at 1800MHz, and anything beyond that was overclocked?
