UK Looks to Slow Speeders with the Help of GPS

For regular viewers of the automotive program Top Gear, you'd know that the UK is likely the ultimate "Nanny State" when it comes to automobiles and driving. From the over-taxation to ubiquitous speed cameras, drivers in the UK seem to be attacked from all sides.

The Transport for London (TfL) is cooking up a new idea that aims to put an end to drivers who have a lead foot. The TfL has requested bids from firms to develop an Intelligent Speed Adaption (ISA) system which would limit a vehicle's speed based on currently posted speed limits.

Englishmen are always good in collecting taxes. The right-hand drive system is to make sure you feel homesick when you are abroad. Top Gear can only test cars in an empty airfield. Their only charm ...... dry humour? That is if you under English.
