Toshiba's New 22.2-inch LCD Sports 3840 x 2400 Resolution

Typically, the highest resolution seen for LCD computer monitors comes from the 30-inch variety sporting 2560 x 1600 like the recently announced Gateway XHD3000. Toshiba decided that 2560 x 1600 just isn’t high enough and announced a 22.2-inch TFT color LCD boasting a headache inducing QUXGA-W screen resolution of 3840 x 2400 resolution.

Look at the price per unit, before you think it will become mainstream

This will:
1) Push for higher price graphic card with faster GPU and memory speed to meet the higher resolution
2) Good for people with excellent eye sight (young but can't afford)
3) Bad for those who can afford the higher price but their reading glasses can't quite make it

Buyers will be single professional in their late 20's and early 30's; living with their parents or making >$100,000/year, using their PC less than less than 2 hours per week at home (they do use company issued laptop >6 hour/day).
