AMD sold piece of Dresden FAB

The sources close to tooling manufactures are whispering aroud that AMD already closed the deal with somebody at east and that DAMIT already sold a piece of the FAB in Dresden. AMD desperately needs cash and by selling the old nanotechnology equipment it can raise between 300 to 500 million dollars.

The company bought the equipment won't be using it to bake bread; they come back with products that compete with AMD.

3rd Party logistic, contract manufacturing rather than in-house ...... a vicious cycle for poor business managers stay at their jobs a bit longer. It works all over the world as to centralized and decentralized sytems.

Sad to hear they have to do things like this to get some money

. But on the other hand, it's better to sell the equipment that you only have for gathering dust
