Users want notebooks with XP

One of the biggest Austrian retailers/etailers has confirmed that they sell more notebooks with XP than with Vista. The price of a machine with XP and Vista is the same and the end users still wants the one with a five year old operating system.

Linux is faster.......

Windows 2000 is no longer supported OS, no more new updates, no service pack planned, it's logical that this is no longer provided pre-installed. Windows XP when tweaked is actually faster than 2000 in many areas, and XP is definitely more feature rich.

Can't buy a laptop with W2K
Already i formatted 2 notebooks to install W2K

This weekend i met a graduate in computer science, that, out of frustration, installed XP in an emulator on her Vista notebook. This week it will be formatted as well

Dell caters to business clients more than any. If the business is not ready for Vista, they won't buy end the story. Dell has to accept. Yes, MS listens to Dell more so than others.
