CPU Price War Ending? What a stupid story!

Intel started it, and Intel will decide when it's over. AMD's price cuts this year have been defensive, not offensive in nature. They've either been in response to Intel's cuts, or in response to unit sales falling off the table.

excellent quote there, it was indeed Intel who initiated the price cut offense to get their netburst CPUs to sell, and they continued to keep cutting prices with C2D too as their yield became larger
