@ 2007/07/12The DC output quality on the Real Power Pro 750w was excellent. Period. The Real Power Pro unit never even hit 1/2 of the ATX12v limitation on the 12v, 5v, or 3.3v rails no matter the load or AC input voltage. This kind of output filtering is very good and indicates the secondary is doing a very good job and puts some of our misgivings about the secondary side to rest in regards to short term performance of the unit. Other power supplies only wish they had this kind of DC output and this really is the feather in the Real Power Pro's cap.<br><br>
The last issue to address with the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 750w then is the noise claims. The Real Power Pro 750w is certainly not loud, but it isn't the 17dBa advertised either. That really is disappointing because had Cooler Master used a relative term like “quiet,” we would have had no complaints about this unit’s noise profile at all. However, when the power supply is obvious in a 50+dBa background it makes the 17dBa claim a farce. Why Cooler Master would claim something so ridiculously low when it isn't the case is baffling to say the least.
