@ 2007/06/27
THE FIRST AMD chips using the Barcelona core will be released on September 10th, with the first chips to surface being a 1.9GHz 2348 and a 2GHz 2350.

Other chips will follow in October of this year although a 2354, which is a 2.2GHz microprocessor, is likely to be available in August through channel distribution.

Not I... it would take performance out of this world to convince me I need to buy a new board+CPU for an AMD rig. I'm waiting for the $266 G-0 Revision Quads, if they share the same overclocking prowess as the new 1333FSB G-0 Revision Core 2 Duo's have been putting up then they're going to be the next hottest chip this fall. 3.6-3.9GHz OCs on stock Intel cooling and low volts is plain nuts.

I wonder ,is there anybody waiting for these chips ?

Is there some massive uber pwnage performance that they can price it that high?

What happend to 2.8 GHz?

Also the watt ratings are high, if Intel already gets quads wtih 65nm at those marks.
