Yet another tale of Vista upgrade woe

I think that Vista is only for new machines, for machines where a complete over-write is possible and for techies who don't mind wasting a few hours.

Only when the market has matured a little to provide full support at the application and driver level could I recommend a general user to consider attempting an upgrade.

Even you have a ready made new Vista machine, you'd better have your system imaged. Drivers are hard to locate. And, don't expect all your existing programs will work in Vista.
