The desktop lads think that the future brings bigger resolutions, more anti-aliasing and ultimately Ray tracing. Ray Tracing is something that graphic cards still cannot touch as it needs more processing power than even the G80 or R600 can provide. The problem will be solved with faster and smarter chips.
The resolution could go up to 3840x2160 if not even higher and the corresponding games will need better content, wiser artificial intelligence and good atmosphere.
