Shuttle Announces New Lineup of SDXi Gaming PCs Featuring Cutting Edge Liquid Cooling Technology from CoolIT Systems

CoolIT Systems’ MTEC Liquid Cooling Technology Maximizes Computing Performance by “Chilling” the Video Card Temperatures

Calgary, Alberta – January 4, 2007 – Shuttle, a leading designer and manufacturer of small form factor computers and accessories, has revealed its new line of SDXi gaming PCs, including state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology powered by CoolIT Systems. Known for its top-performing and award-winning MTEC liquid cooling technology, CoolIT Systems has designed a compact and robust cooling system that directly cools the dual ATI video card set-up, effectively removing heat from within the computer’s chassis. This MTEC system employs three Thermoelectric Coolers (TECs) that enhance cooling performance and allow the user to maximize the computer’s capabilities.

Kevin Tu, Product Marketing Manager of Shuttle, asserts that “CoolIT Systems’ MTEC technology has really enabled us to take our performance to the next level and pack more capabilities into our signature small form factor PC. In addition to the phenomenal cooling performance it provides for the dual ATI Radeon X1950XTX graphics cards, the system allows for increased reliability of these vital components and maintenance-free operation which preserves the longevity of the SDXi.”

CEO of CoolIT Systems, Geoff Lyon, remarks that “What really sets this system apart from others on the market is its ability to efficiently cool the video card and reduce their footprint to allow the utilization of adjacent PCIe slots. With the increasing complexity of graphics cards, traditional methods of cooling are no longer effective. These lesser alternatives often exude excessive noise, are prone to breaking down, and require a lot of space. MTEC constantly reduces the video processor below the specified operating temperature allowing for optimal performance in a quiet and reliable package.”

The Shuttle SDXI system and other samples of CoolIT’s patented MTEC Technology will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in the Sands at booth #71554
