OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 FlexXLC not vaporware after all...

@ 2006/12/01
LESS than 10 days ago we wrote about OCZ's latest, greatest water cooled memory.
2Gb slices of OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 FlexXLC Edition Dual became available yesterday and some big names such as Alternate/Wave (Germany), Bacata (France), GoBeyond (Ireland), VIP-Computers (UK/IE), Novatech (UK) are expected to have them in stock shortly.

We checked our usual EU price checking engine and found that a few places will have it shortly for around €500. The link is here.
We did find one place where is it available. Memory configurator has them available as of yesterday and you can order them here for €531.19 including VAT. This is how much you need to spend for 2GB of this super fast memory.
And as a cherry on the top, we got the memory through our doors just minutes ago, so expect some serious overclocking next week. We heard it can break 1250MHz, certainly enough to make someone's hair stand on end. The only competition at the moment is the Corsair Dominator Series DIMM Kit 2048MB PC2-8888U which costs at least €570 and is not available at press time, at least not in this engine. In my next-door shop, a big one called Ditech, in Vienna, you can preorder one for €759.90 including VAT.
