AMD Schedules 65nm Tyler Launch For Q2 07

@ 2006/10/10
The Tyler series—replacement parts for the AMD Turion 64 X2 (codenamed Taylor) CPUs—will be launched in the second quarter of next year, noted the makers. Compared to the Rev F reference platform, AMD's Rev G (resident in 638-pin Socket S1) supports 65nm silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology and, in addition, DDR2-800 memory, the makers indicated. The 35W Tyler will extend model numbers for the current Rev F Turion 64 X2—TL-XX, the makers said.
