Buffalo FireStix PC2-6400 2GB DDR2

With the RAM in hand I was admiring the bright red heat-spreaders, but I was more curious about what was hiding behind the heat-spreaders. After popping off the two retention clips and cleaning up some of the double sided heat transfer tape, I was able to get a clear look. The modules used under the heat-spreaders are Micron 6AD22D9GKX DRAM. After doing research, I found out that these same modules were used in the FireStix PC2-8000 sticks. 1000MHz rated IC's used in 800MHz sticks... Things that make you go HMMMMMmmmm! Well, nonetheless I feel it's time to beat on these sticks to see how well they really handle.
