No Quad-Core Chips from AMD Till Mid-2007

@ 2006/07/22
Advanced Micro Devices said during its second quarter of fiscal 2006 conference call that it would not launch quad-core processors till the middle of next year, but will showcase such chips by the end of 2006. This confirms earlier unofficial information that there are no quad-core chips in AMD’s roadmap till 2H 2007.

They've been placing the date of K8L for the middle of 2007 since around the start of this year! Honestly I'm sure they've already upped the timeframe as much as they can as before then it was 2008ish...

They have already bumped up Brisbane to be ramping up this year, instead of just starting out in December. Also AMDs new plans to bump up their own 45nm ramp to only 6 months behind Intel's own 45nm ramp is quite amazing if they can pull it off without any problems...

Oh dear! When is Kentfield hitting the shelves again?.........
I like & use AMD but how can they have got their timing/performance so wrong recently?
