Wii Matches PS3 in Shipments

Nintendo went on record in the weeks following E3 with a promise of 6 million Wii systems worldwide by the end of fiscal 2006 -- that is, by the end of March, 2007. Today, company president Satoru Iwata got a bit more specific, revealing that Nintendo will ship 4 million of those units worldwide by the end of the calendar year. That's four million systems in circulation by New Years Day.
