Enermax Laureate External HD Enclosure

@ 2006/05/24
An external hard drive is a common accessory for a PC thanks to the combination of portability, capacity, and affordability. Most people use external hard drives as a rewritable backup medium, i.e. to backup their PC (hopefully on a regular basis). Some people use them to transfer files between work and home. Others might use them simply as extra storage capacity because they can't add another internal hard drive.

Products like the Enermax Laureate EB305C-S come without a hard drive, allowing the consumer to choose almost any off-the-shelf PATA or SATA 3.5" hard drive to use with it. This Aluminum enclosure features a passive cooling system, external power supply, and USB 2.0 interface.
