'Command & Conquer 3' Game Announced

@ 2006/04/22
Chatter started to form over the past couple of days when scans from the latest issue of PC Gamer suggested Electronic Arts was prepared to announce Command & Conquer 3, the long-rumored new sequel in the long-running real-time-strategy franchise started at the new defunct Westwood Studios. Thankfully, EA's made everything official.

C&C3: Tiberium Wars won't arrive onto PCs until sometime in 2007, but fans can anticipate returning to the classic Global Defense Initiative vs. Brotherhood of NOD storyline from the first two games. As GDI continues its fight to contain the alien substance Tiberium, NOD maintains its position on exploiting its powers. Though the press release doesn't detail it, reportedly the game will feature an all-new race, as well.
