Gigabyte Radeon X1600-XT with Silent-Pipe II

The Gigabyte Radeon X1600XT with Silent-Pipe II is definitely the most value-for-money graphic card for gamers who want to enjoy the noiseless operation of the Silent-Pipe cooling.

From our benchmark results, the X1600XT out-perform the 6600GT and X800GT in most cases, thanks to the 12 pixel shader and 5 vertex shader processors. We even manage to overclock the core/memory frequency from 587/1386 to 648/1512 with about 10% gain in performance. The cooling performance with stock heatsink is sufficient to keep the card running within safety level, but an option to mount a small fan will be great for overclockers.

For the price of a X1800XT, you can get two X1600XT to run in CrossFire mode, this is probably the most flexible and the most value of money solution for gamers who do not wish to fork out so much cash for top of the end graphic card. With DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0

Asus's got a passively cooled 7800GT; but it does cost an arm and a leg.

Nice looking card, I think Gigabyte are on a winner there.
