@ 2023/12/23After endless issues with new 12VHPRW connectors it appears that the new standard has further problems, and this time it is about CableMod angled adapters that were deemed the best replacement on the market. CableMod is recalling both the v1.0 and v1.1 of its 16-pin 12VHPWR angled adapters.
The recall includes only the angled adapters and not angled cables, and both the 90° angled, and 180° hard connectors. The issue lies in the contact points with the potential risk that the male connector could become loose, overheat, and melt into the GPU, according to CableMod's announcement.
