Few tools are as indispensable as a desk lamp. Whether you are writing by hand, using the computer, or putting together a computer, working at a desk requires adequate lighting to be done efficiently and comfortably. While many people subscribe to the ill-advised "brighter is always better" school of thought, it should be remembered that there are a lot of other factors which go into choosing the right lamp.
