Intel Promotes Mobile Processors for Desktops.

In order to offer the “Wintel” world computers that could be as small and as powerful as the latest Mac mini systems from Apple, Intel Corp. started to promote its mobile processors in the desktop market segment. Such a move may mean better adoption rates for small form-factor (SFF) systems, which are not something new, but which still have not got significant market share.

P4 failed since Feb 2004 when the first Prescott was released. Then, they started making noises; S775; chipset changes; DDR2 ..... liquid cooling crowds love it in order to justify the cost and bragging right.

Asus had their Pentium-M adapter for desktop boards out last year; Intel is REALLY REALLY running behind things trying to push this now; why not last year already?

so this means they officialy call the P4 design failed, even at lower CPU speeds?
