Intel readies nine varieties of Merom microprocessor

CHIP FIRM Intel will have a total of nine different Merom CPUs available with some released in the fourth quarter, while others will shuffle onto their mortal Core during the first half of 2007.

According to recent roadmaps posted all over the Porcupine pub near Leicester Square in the throbbing heart of London's West End, the tp end model will have a front side bus speed of 800/667MHz, although the cache it will have is so far undecided.
