Samsung has started to commercialise MicroLED technology for smartwatches and the tech could be used to replace*OLED displays.
The Tame Apple Press thinks this means that its favourite company will get*MicroLED, but it is also possible that it will end up on rival's tech too.
MicroLED panels will offer significant improvements over OLED. They’re brighter, have a better contrast ratio, and excellent color reproduction. Visibility is better under direct sunlight. MicroLED panels are also more power efficient, thus enabling smartwatches to extend their battery life.
