Lots of features

Sharp today announces the addition of 13 new MFP models – two to its A4 mono portfolio and 11 to its A3 mono CR4.5 range.

The 13 new models have speeds ranging from 26 to 60ppm, offer what's claimed to bea host of productivity functions, best-in-class security enhancements and the same workflow features and user interface common to the Sharp range.

The new models all have natty security features, such as a firmware attack prevention and a self-recovery capability, which can identify a malicious intrusion and restore the machine firmware to its original state. An application whitelisting feature will also protect the machine's file system from unauthorised access. Additionally, administrators can centrally manage select settings at the device using Active Directory Group Policy.

The range of Mono MFPs are designed to suit a variety of office layouts and integrate with today's connected workplace, enabling simple and quick access to an expanded list of cloud services including Box and Dropbox.

The inclusion of the Adobe Embedded Print Engine (AEPE), gives users greater accuracy and performance when directly printing PDF files from network, cloud, or portable USB drives, Sharp claimed.
