EVGA brings the fight to RX 5600 XT with RTX 2060 KO Edition

With $300 MSRP

While Nvidia is still officially waiting for the RX 5600 XT to launch, EVGA has launched a pre-emptive strike in the form of Geforce RTX 2060 KO, which will be available with an MSRP of $300, just $20 above the RX 5600 XT.

While AMD was officially targeting the GTX 1660 Ti by launching its RX 5600 XT with a suggested retail price of $279, the RTX 2060 KO series from EVGA, which will be available in standard and factory-overclocked RTX 2060 KO Ultra versions, is definitely too much for the RX 5600 XT, and could even put a lot of pressure on AMD's RX 5700 series.

EVGA did not cut a lot of corners with the RTX 2060 KO Edition cards, as the standard one comes with 1680MHz Boost clock and still has 6GB of 14Gbps clocked GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit memory interface. It features a dual-slot dual-fan cooler and even comes with a metal backplate. The RTX 2060 KO Ultimate, boosts up to 1755MHz, while the rest of the specifications are pretty much the same. You still need a single 8-pin PCIe power connector on both cards.

Hopefully, Nvidia will respond with an official price cut once the RX 5600 XT becomes available on January 21st, and in the meanwhile, EVGA is happy to sell the standard RTX 2060 KO for $299.99, and the RTX 2060 KO Ultimate for $319.99.
