Upcoming Intel and AMD processors, first looks

Both Intel and AMD will be introducing new processors in 2006. Intel will debut a new architecture and AMD will move to a new socket and support DDR2. We take a closer look at what both manufacturers will be introducing in 2006.

let's hope it doesn't get more than a slight increase... so we don't have to upgrade ram and mobo and cpu again, my fx53 won't go out of my house until I get 3.4ghz+ aircooled athlons...

This could be a hard sale to current users, unless "slight increase" has a different meaning.
