Your favourite FPS Shooter?

i played them all entirely, only one that keeps coming back when I have some spare time is farcry, still rocks

I voted far cry since it's the only game I've played from the list.

After I finished that game I sold my gamerig.

imo the new vietcong2 is pretty good, but i don't think any of you lot have played it already?

Call of Duty 2 now.
I voted HL2 because I didn't have the game then (when I voted).

no votes for Doom 3; unoriginal gameplay and boring multiplayer doesn't make it an appealing choice

FEAR is most likely winning because it's "newer"

I can't believe FEAR is winning. Played all of them and no doubt Far Cry and HL2 are way out in the lead. HL2 especially has a great storyline, although it is a very restrictive game. FEAR has SlowMo matrix style which probably makes it stand out a bit from the crowd of FPS's

anyone else loved Far Cry because it felt so similar to Project IGI? ( I wonder where the devs got the Jackhammer idea =P)

I played Doom 3, Far Cry, Half Life 2 and FEAR (demo).
From those: Half life 2 and Far cry were the most fun.
I didn't like FEAR @ all, maybe I'm just getting sick of all those horror fps.

My vote went to Far cry, cause it's the only game I played again after finishing it the first times.
I just love the jungle, the beatiful beach and water.
Playing Far Cry is a bit like going on vacation
Can't say that about Doom 3

Operation Flashpoint

Have not tried FEAR & Quake4 ; out of the rest in order of my liking - FarCry, HL2, Doom3, SS2.

I like the real things better ...... in order of my enjoyment - 12 gauge trap competition, 200 yard high power rife, fast shooting 9mm hand gun, 22 caliber slow precision pistol and crazy blasting with AR15 or cheaper ammo AK47 7.62.

So, I cast my vote.
