ATI Radeon X850 XT CrossFire Review

@ 2005/09/26
ATI fights back against NVIDIA with their dual card solution known as CrossFire. Although CrossFire improves performance, do the limitations that exist in ATI’s current dual card implementation make CrossFire a wise investment?

so... until now Crossfire is a waste of money and time and is less mature.

let's wait another 8 days, one x1800xt should beat 2 crossfire x850xt's and in time for dual setups crossfire should have gained maturity.

When it comes right down to it, CrossFire is really not a solid value with the current generation of ATI video cards. You get more for less money with the GeForce 7800 GTX.
AND you don't need to fiddle with PCIe slot
AND not use extra dongles
AND not mess around in Windows with drivers
AND be able to run 1600x1200 at high refresh rate

I am not buying ATI stock..... convincing or not.

hm, it doesn't convince...
let's hope the r520 crossfire allows for a fight with the sli7800 gtx...
